This safety feature makes it ideal for windows in vehicles, shower doors, building entrances, and other areas where safety is paramount. Tempered glass is also used in some types of mirrors.

Laminated Glass: This type of glass comprises two or more layers of glass bonded together by a layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or other interlayer material. The interlayer holds the glass fragments together in case of breakage, preventing shattering and providing enhanced security. Laminated glass offers excellent sound insulation, reduces UV transmission, and provides protection against forced entry. It is commonly used in windshields, skylights, balconies, and facades.
