How to Fit a Wing Mirror Glass

Every driver should learn how to fit a wing mirror glass, even if they hope never to need the skill. Wing mirrors are vulnerable to damage from other vehicles, road debris, and even vandalism. Safety First

Tools You'll Need

You won't need any special tools to fit wing mirror glass. A flat-head screwdriver or a plastic pry tool will do the trick. However, if your wing mirror has a heating element, you will need to use a soldering iron to reconnect the wires.

Removing the Old Wing Mirror Glass

With the safety precautions in place and the necessary tools at hand, you can start removing the old wing mirror glass. Carefully insert the flat-head screwdriver between the glass and the housing and gently pry it loose. If your wing mirror has an integrated heating element, disconnect the wires before removing the glass.

Installing the New Wing Mirror Glass
